So you’ve set up a place for painting. That’s great, but before you dip your brush into the paint, you must know what each brush is used for. That way, you’ll skip the frustration:

  • Flat Brush – Used for edging and filling small spaces
  • Wash Brush – Used to fill large areas of your canvas
  • Filbert Brush – Used for rounding things
  • Fan Brush – Used to blend and transition colours.
  • Angle Brush – For lines and angles

Step #3 – Start Painting

And now there’s nothing else but to start painting the canvas. So start doing it. Don’t worry if your first painting doesn’t go as well as you hoped! Like with everything, practice makes perfect!
